Laura McCrary, Ed.D, Executive Director
Dr. Laura McCrary is the Senior Vice President of KaMMCO Health Solutions (KHS) and the Executive Director of the Kansas Health Information Network, Inc. (KHIN). KHS is a for profit business designed to assist health care providers meet the challenges of the new health care marketplace and risk based payment structures. KHIN is a Kansas non-profit organization that provides health information exchange technology services to over 1250 health care organizations throughout Kansas. KHIN is generally considered to be one of the largest and most successful health information exchange in the nation. Both KHIN and KHS are provider led and governed and founding members include the Kansas Medical Society, the Kansas Hospital Association, and the Wichita Health Information Exchange (WHIE).
Laura completed Post-Doctoral work at Kansas University; a Doctorate of Education from Kansas State University and MS degrees in the areas of Mental Illness and Learning Disabilities from Kansas State University. Laura is an adjunct professor at Rockhurst University-Helzberg School of Management and teaches courses in Health Information Technology and Quality and a member of the National Policy Steering Committee for eHealth Initiative. Laura is an Advisory Board member for eHealth Exchange/Carequality and serves on the Governance Group for the National Syndromic Surveillance System.
Jody Denson, Director of Provider Solutions, MPA, PMP
Jody Denson is the Director of Provider Solutions of KHIN. She has over eighteen years of experience in the health care field with an emphasis in working with safety net providers and community mental health centers. Jody has a BS in Psychology and a Master's of Public Administration both from the University of Missouri in Kansas City. She is a certified PMP and is a member of the HIMSS Heart of America Chapter. Jody is an adjunct professor at Johnson County Community College and teaches courses in Health Information Technology.
Tiffanie Hickman, Project Manager
Tiffanie Hickman joined KHIN in January 2011, as an Executive Assistant. She was promoted to Project Manager effective July of 2012 after completing her Health Information Systems Specialist Certification. She originally came from KaMMCO as an underwriter, and is familiar with the health care providers and health care agencies across the state of Kansas and Missouri.
Kari Jackson, Project Manager
Excited to join the innovative industry of Health Information Technology, Kari Jackson joined KHIN in November of 2013. She spent the previous 10 years in the marketing and communications field for a large Real Estate firm after studying Theatre in Film at the University of Kansas. Kari’s creativity and problem solving skills are put to good use at KHIN and she enjoys the fluidity of the burgeoning world Health Information Exchange. In November of 2015, Kari completed her Health Information Systems Specialist Certification.
Mary Matzke, Project Manager
Mary Matzke joined KHIN as a Project Manager in August 2014. She has over 30 years' experience working in rural health care as a Chief Information Officer, clinical analyst, physician practice administrator, clinical services director and staff nurse. Mary also works as an HIT consultant for the Kansas Hospital Association and Kansas HIT Regional Extension Center providing technical assistance and support to Kansas hospitals adopting electronic records to meet Meaningful Use. Mary received her BS in Nursing from Washburn University and a Masters in Management Information Systems from Friends University. She holds professional certification in Healthcare Information Management Systems (CPHIMS) and is active in the Kansas Chapter of Healthcare Information Management Systems Society.
Renae Stanley, Client Resources Coordinator
Renae Stanley joined KHIN in October of 2014. She previously worked at Payless ShoeSource for eight years as an Administrative Assistant for Intellectual Property and Global Employment. Renae earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Friends University in Business Administration.
Neal Haerich, KHIN Integration Engineer
Neal Haerich joined KHIN in June of 2015. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Services Management and has spent over 30 years in the healthcare field, first as a Registered Respiratory Therapist and Kansas Certified Paramedic and later working in the Information Technology arena as both an Applications Analyst and an Integrations Analyst. Neal has experience in managing multiple enterprise-wide software products and implementations of healthcare informatics and EMR systems, including high level experience with HL7 integrations with a focus on the Meaningful Use mandates as they relate to Public Health Integrations.
Sara Warnock, KHIN Project Manager
Sara Warnock joined KHIN as a project manager in May 2016. Before KHIN, Sara spent five years with Kansas Medical Mutual Insurance Company (KaMMCO) working on behalf of Kansas medical providers and building relationships with provider practices across the state. She has degrees in Communications Studies and Health Information Management and is a Registered Health Information Technician with AHIMA. Sara is also Secretary of the Kansas Chapter of HIMSS.
Allen Laramore, WHIE Project Manager
Allen Laramore has worked with the Medical Society of Sedgwick County in Wichita for several years assisting them in preparation for HIE implementation. Allen also has over 25 years experience in sales, manufacturing and distributing, technologically advanced medical equipment and marketing to domestic and international customers/distributors. Allen has a BA in Music Performance and also an MBA. His strengths are in sales, project management, and the ability to analyze customer systems and implement new systems to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Bobbi Gray, KHIN Support Center
Bobbi joins us with extensive propriety software experience earned while working for Accenture in Wichita. Along with IT experience she has 20+ years of customer service, call center, and training experience working for America Online and Convergys. While working for Convergys, Bobbi trained and was a Team Leader of agents who dealt exclusively with medical claims and prescription/health care plans. Bobbi is active with her hometown charity and community events.
